Our Bedrooms and En-suites.
All of our 33 Bedrooms are tastefully furnished with carefully chosen fixtures and fittings. One of the rooms is designed for a companion room. Each bedroom has a private ensuite and ten have private shower facilities, with additional aids, easily reached call points and telephone sockets. Residents are also encouraged to bring personal possessions and small items of furniture. Heating is supplied by low surface radiators individually controlled for comfort and safety all bedrooms have smoke detectors and fire alarms and an all-important nurse call system. Most of our home has areas with WIFI connection and staff are happy to support this service to keep in touch with family and friends.
Our visiting hairdresser has been part of the team at Orchardhead for over 20 years and will be attentive to your needs.
On your day of arrival, an extra staff member will be there to assist you to personalise your room and make you feel at home
The bathing experience
We have 12 shower rooms and two bathrooms available all fitted with anti-scald valves and nurse call alerts for comfort and safety. Our Arjo baths both the Sovereign and Malibu models have an integrated transfer chair, that enables us to make the benefits of bathing available to a broad spectrum of residents while reducing the numbers of transfers required. The additional benefit of being fully height adjustable enhances a relaxed experience for the resident and staff also feel protected against back injury.
