Comfort

Relax in Style and Comfort

We have two Dining Rooms, two Sunrooms, and two Main Lounges with windows offering views over the landscaped patios and Orchard beyond. With three smaller sitting areas, a small tea pantry and a hairdressing salon we can provide a caring family atmosphere with quietness and privacy. Our communal space exceeds the requirements as we feel it enhances a greater choice on where to sit and how much privacy and quietness you prefer!

Our tartan lounge boasts wonderful views to the Orchard and there is access to our upper patio area.

New additions to this list are always welcome. We encourage Residents to continue past hobbies or to explore new ones and our activity ladies build relationships to promote meaningful activities. To complement our homely atmosphere, trips out are also enjoyed e.g. to the theatre, local parks, garden centers and local clubs are just a few examples. We like to get out and about and our company vehicle is perfect for accommodating residents who prefer to remain in their wheelchair. Networking with the wider community has proven to be very rewarding and we have accepted invites to lunches and events offered by local clubs and businesses. Continuing to embrace the community allows us to be involved in new opportunities and gives us all a feeling of belonging.

Delicious food

At Orchardhead our meals are delicious and we offer a varied menu which includes good home cooking.
Our food is locally sourced and we support local suppliers where possible. There is no set time for serving breakfast and our night staff are more than happy to serve early risers in your room if you choose.
Meals are based on traditional home cooking with fresh produce. Special diets are also catered for and alternative meal options are always available.
Meals are prepared and cooked by our chefs and staff will ask you regularly how you are enjoying the menu choices and welcome new ideas. Lunch and Dinner are served in our dining rooms, unless otherwise requested, and supper in the lounges or your own room. Mid-morning and afternoon drinks and snacks are also served including fresh fruit which is available. We serve afternoon tea in the smaller patio dining room and encourage friends and family to join us and this has developed into a lovely social event.

Our trained catering staff are attentive to individual requests, including special dietary needs. The afternoon Tea trolley is a favourite offering Cooks home baking.
